On-line Lessons, some reflections

Amidst all the uncertainty surrounding arrangements for this year's exams, on-line English lessons are already underway.

In face-to-face lessons, it is easy for the student to be passive, allowing the teacher to dominate the interaction; on-line, using document sharing, the student is required to be a more active participant: written texts are devised, developed and proof-read in front of the teacher, who is able to offer support and suggestions as the work progresses, line-by-line.
